Summary

We are looking for an experienced mechanical designer or CAD engineer to create precise 3D models and manufacturing-ready technical drawings for custom vertical and horizontal bioreactor systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial equipment design, pressure vessel principles (or sanitary stainless steel fabrication), and complex internal component layouts (agitation systems, port placements, and jacketed thermal control layers). Key Deliverables 1) 3D CAD Models: Complete assembly and part models for both vertical and horizontal bioreactor configurations using industry-standard software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360). 2) Technical Manufacturing Drawings: 2D orthographic projection drawings with GD&T, accurate dimensions, welding symbols, and material specifications. 3) Internal Component Layout: Detailed modeling of internal elements such as agitator impellers, baffling, spargers, and sensor port nozzles. 4) Enclosure / Shell Design: Design of outer shells, support skids, mounting brackets, and thermal insulation/heating jackets. 5) Source Files & Export Formats: Delivery of native CAD files along with standard manufacturing formats (STEP, STL, PDF blueprints). 6) List of parts including sensors Project Requirements & Specifications Configurations: Two distinct models required (Vertical tank configuration with central agitation and Horizontal drum/cylinder configuration). Materials & Standards: Design must accommodate food-grade / pharma-grade stainless steel fabrication principles (e.g., ASME/GMP compliance awareness is a strong plus). File Delivery: Fully editable native files + STEP/IGES and production-ready PDF blueprints. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in industrial equipment, tank, or pressure vessel design. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Fusion 360. Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding, sheet metal rolling, CNC machining, flange sizing). Ability to work from conceptual sketches, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), or rough volumetric requirements. Portfolio demonstrating previous work on complex mechanical tanks, skids, or bioreactor/fermenter systems.
