Summary

You must have extensive experience in QR Code site building. Simple Version QR Code Website — MVP Developer Requirements Goal Build a simple, clean WordPress website that can generate QR codes and sell optional physical PVC QR cards. The first version should be intentionally simple so it can be launched quickly and expanded later. 1. Platform Use: WordPress Gravity Forms Stripe PayPal Custom QR-code functionality Custom CSS/frontend styling WordPress Multisite only as a future/optional website feature Keep plugins and third-party dependencies to a minimum. 2. Homepage Create a modern homepage with: Hero Create Your QR Code Create, customize and download QR codes in seconds. Buttons: Create QR Code Get a QR Card Feature sections Free QR generation Dynamic QR codes Custom designs Physical PVC QR cards Scan tracking Easy dashboard Include the dashboard/card visuals supplied as design inspiration. 3. QR Generator Keep the first version simple. Initial QR types: Website URL Text Email Phone SMS Wi-Fi Contact/vCard The architecture should allow additional QR types later. 4. QR Customization Allow: QR color Background color Basic QR styles Logo upload Logo placement "SCAN ME" frame/text Basic templates Downloads: PNG SVG Provide a live QR preview. 5. Dynamic QR Codes The customer can create a dynamic QR code. Example: yourdomain.com/q/ABC123 The QR redirects to the customer's current destination. The customer can change the destination later without printing a new QR code. This is especially important for physical cards. 6. Customer Dashboard Keep the first dashboard simple. Dashboard Show: My QR Codes Create QR Code My Cards Recent scans Account QR Code list Each QR should show: QR preview Name Type Destination Static/Dynamic Scan count Status Edit Download 7. Physical PVC QR Card The physical card is an optional purchase. Customer clicks: Get a QR Card Then: Step 1 — Choose Template Provide approximately 3–5 initial templates. Examples: Business Personal Restaurant Professional Modern Step 2 — Customize Customer enters: Name Business name Logo Website Phone Email Optional text Selects the QR code. Step 3 — Preview Show a basic front-of-card preview. Step 4 — Purchase Customer chooses quantity and shipping information. 8. Payment Use: Stripe For credit/debit card payments. PayPal For customers who prefer PayPal. Use Gravity Forms for the card order/customer information form where appropriate. The payment process should be: Card Design → Shipping Information → Stripe/PayPal → Successful Payment → Order Created No additional payment system is required. 9. Admin Print Queue The site operator needs a simple admin screen showing paid card orders. Example: Order Customer Template Status #1001 John Smith Business Paid #1002 ABC Pizza Restaurant Paid Admin actions: View order View card design View QR code Download print-ready artwork Print Mark Printed Add tracking number Mark Shipped The operator will physically print and mail the PVC card. 10. Card Artwork Generate a simple high-resolution file for printing. Initially support: PNG PDF The final QR code must be included in the artwork. 11. Card Activation This can be kept very simple initially. Each card receives a unique activation code. Example: QR-ABC12345 Customer enters the code into their account. Status changes: Inactive → Active The card remains linked to its dynamic QR code. 12. Basic Scan Tracking For dynamic QR codes, record: Scan count Date/time Basic device information where practical The dashboard can initially display: Total Scans: 1,247 Advanced analytics can be added later. 13. Optional Customer Website — Later Do not make WordPress Multisite part of the initial MVP unless it is easy to implement. Eventually offer: Create My Website Customer selects a template and gets: customer.yourdomain.com or connects their own domain. This can become a paid add-on. Use WordPress Multisite for these customer websites. 14. Do Not Build Initially Leave these for later: AI API White labeling Agency accounts Team accounts Bulk QR generation Advanced analytics Advanced landing-page builder GS1 Product passports Complex shipping integration Large template library Advanced campaign management Advanced website builder 15. Simple Customer Flow Free QR Visit Website → Create QR → Enter information → Customize → Generate → Download Physical Card Create QR → Get QR Card → Select template → Customize → Select QR → Preview → Enter shipping information → Pay with Stripe or PayPal → Order appears in admin → Operator prints card → Operator mails card → Customer activates card → Customer can change the QR destination later 16. MVP Objective The goal is not to build the final giant QR platform immediately. The goal is to get a working commercial product online quickly: Free QR Generator Dynamic QR Codes Simple Customer Dashboard Physical PVC QR Cards Stripe PayPal Gravity Forms Simple Admin Print Queue Once customers are buying, additional features can be added based on demand.
