CPA or EA to Review Financial Setups for Salon Clients
Worldwide
I'm a business mentor working with owner-operated service businesses in the US — salons and beauty businesses. I build the financial foundation with each client: chart of accounts, transaction categories, tracker structure, and a P&L they can actually read. Most of them have worked with a bookkeeper before and it never stuck, because nobody took the time to understand how their business actually makes money. I need a licensed professional to review that setup before the client takes it forward. THE WORK (per client) - Review the chart of accounts and category structure I've built - Confirm it's set up correctly for their state - Flag anything misclassified, missing, or likely to cause a problem at tax time - Write a short plain-language opinion I can share with the client - Note anything their future bookkeeper needs to know to maintain it THE ISSUES THAT COME UP MOST These are the things I need a sharp eye on: - Booth rental vs commission vs employee — worker classification and how it's reflected in the books - Tip reporting and payroll treatment - Sales tax on retail product vs services - Commission structures and how they're categorized - Owner draws vs payroll in an owner-operated setup - Product cost split between backbar (supplies) and retail (inventory) WHAT THIS IS NOT - Not ongoing monthly bookkeeping - Not data entry or categorizing from scratch - Not client-facing. You work with me, not with them HOW IT WORKS This is an ongoing relationship, not a one-off. Every time I finish a client's financial setup, I bring it to you. I can't promise a fixed monthly volume, because it depends on when clients come through onboarding. What I can tell you is that I have a steady roster of clients who all need this, and I'd rather build a long-term relationship with one person than shop it around every time. I'm looking for a flat rate based on each client's business complexity. Includes the review, the written opinion, and a few round of follow-up questions from me. WHO FITS - CPA or EA in good standing - Experience with small, owner-operated businesses - Beauty industry experience is a bonus, not a requirement. I know the industry. I need your credential and your eye - Comfortable explaining things simply, without accounting jargon - Direct and opinionated. If something's wrong, I want to hear it plainly ONE MORE THING I'd like to be able to tell my clients their setup was reviewed by a licensed CPA or EA. You need to be ok with this. TO APPLY 1. Your credential, your state, and your license number 2. Aprox how much this would be flat rate (I can explain more about the project to the right fit) Start your proposal with the word PEACH so I know you read this.
