Job Title: CPA for E-Commerce Brand — Tax Filing, HELOC Packet Review, Ongoing Advisory $250-$500 per month About us: We're VEYA, an Austin-based e-commerce skincare brand selling on Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Etsy. Our AI-powered finance system preps everything — trackers, reconciliation drafts, P&L summaries, document packets. You review, verify, file, and sign. This role is deliberately lean: we only need what legally requires a licensed person. IMMEDIATE NEEDS (start right away): 1. File our 2025 business taxes or an extension — URGENT. These are overdue and penalties are accruing. (Related: a tax letter arrived by mail that needs to be reviewed so payment can be made.) 2. Review and sign off on the income packet for a HELOC application — real records only, already organized by our system; you'll coordinate with our attorney. The HELOC reapplication happens as soon as taxes are filed. 3. Review a multi-state sales tax summary (AI-drafted; you verify). ONGOING SCOPE (~monthly, retainer): - Verify and sign off on AI-prepared expense reconciliations, P&L, and financials - Build the unit economics model with us — true margins per product including shipping - Set up the owner's salary — reasonable-comp structure - Advise on separating business vs. personal expenses and cards - Tax strategy, including whether to form an additional LLC REQUIREMENTS: - US-licensed CPA - Small-business e-commerce experience (Shopify/Amazon multi-channel a strong plus) - Multi-state sales tax familiarity - Comfortable working from AI-prepared drafts as your starting point — you're the verification and signature layer, not the data-entry layer - Available for Zoom Mon 1–3pm or Thu 2:30–4:30pm CST ENGAGEMENT & BUDGET: - One-time 2025 tax filing: fixed-fee project - HELOC packet review/sign-off: flat fee - Ongoing retainer: $250–500/month Note: we work from real records only.
