CPG Pickle Brand Design
Worldwide
Brand Identity / Brand Kit for a Small-Batch Pickle Company We're a small food startup launching a line of bold, unexpected-flavor pickles — sweet, spicy, and fruit-forward profiles rather than standard dill. Our brand strategy is finished. We need a designer to execute it. You'd work directly with our creative lead and own the visual execution end to end. We've defined the what; we want your expertise on the how. Scope Primary logo, plus a secondary/stacked lockup and a submark for small applications (caps, patches, jar lids) Typeface system — display and support. Licensed fonts only; no unlicensed or AI-generated type Color palette, primary and secondary, with print and digital values Usage guide: clear space, minimum sizes, dos and don'ts, incorrect-use examples Final files: vector source (.ai or .svg) plus PNG/PDF exports, CMYK and RGB, transparent and knockout versions Stretch, quoted separately and not part of the budget below: label design for one SKU applied to a jar dieline. What you get from us on day one A finished brand document — positioning, voice, audience, brand personality, and what the brand will never do Brand discovery research and synthesis AI-generated mockups showing the direction we want. Reference only. We're not asking you to copy them; we're showing you the target This is an execution job, not a discovery job. You won't be starting from a blank page, and we won't be workshopping the strategy with you. Direction Illustration-forward. Chunky, bold type. Heritage and patch-style codes, hand-drawn edges, tactile and print-imperfect. The label should feel closer to a band t-shirt or an embroidered patch than a grocery label. Reference brands for tone and craft: Duke Cannon (pre-rebrand era), Black Rifle Coffee, Grillo's, Dr. Squatch. Not this: minimalist, apothecary, Kinfolk-clean, pastel, generic farmhouse. If your portfolio is mostly clean tech or wellness branding, we're likely not a fit — and we'd rather tell you now than after you've written a proposal. Requirements Real food, beverage, or CPG packaging work in your portfolio. Please link the specific projects Human-made work. We'll ask about your process Full ownership and commercial rights transferred on final payment Budget: $1,000 fixed Timeline: 2–3 weeks to final files. Two rounds of revisions included. To apply, skip the template. Send three things: two or three portfolio links in this register, one sentence on what you'd change about the direction described above, and confirmation you can hit the timeline. We'll share the brand name, flavor lineup, and full brand document with shortlisted designers.
