CPG graphic and brand designer

**Freelance CPG Packaging Designer & Illustrator** We’re looking for a talented freelance packaging designer and illustrator to collaborate with our studio on project-based work for food, beverage, wellness, and lifestyle brands. This role requires strong packaging design experience and professional illustration skills. You should be able to take an established creative direction and translate it into distinctive, thoughtful packaging that feels original, commercially relevant, and ready for production. **Responsibilities** * Design packaging for food, beverage, wellness, and other consumer-product brands * Develop custom illustrations, patterns, icons, and supporting visual elements * Apply established brand identities and creative direction across packaging * Create cohesive packaging systems for multiple products, flavors, sizes, and SKUs * Work accurately with printer-supplied dielines * Organize required packaging information, including ingredients, nutrition facts, claims, barcodes, and legal copy * Prepare print-ready production files with proper bleeds, color settings, layers, and specifications * Create realistic packaging mockups for client presentations * Make revisions based on consolidated feedback from the creative director * Collaborate with the creative director and project manager throughout each project **Required Experience** * A strong portfolio demonstrating professional CPG packaging design * Excellent illustration skills with examples of original, custom artwork * Experience designing for food, beverage, wellness, beauty, or lifestyle products * Strong typography, composition, hierarchy, and color skills * Experience creating packaging systems across multiple SKUs * Understanding of dielines, print production, prepress, and file preparation * Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop * Ability to follow an established creative direction while contributing thoughtful design solutions * Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication * Ability to meet deadlines and manage revisions efficiently **Project Structure** This is a remote, freelance, project-based position. You’ll be hired for individual branding and packaging projects as needed, with the possibility of ongoing work.
