I am seeking a California family law attorney—preferably offering limited-scope representation—or a highly experienced California family law paralegal working under attorney supervision to assist with enforcing a Marital Settlement Agreement incorporated into a Final Judgment at an hourly or fixed rate. The matter was handled in Los Angeles County, California. The Final Judgment requires my former spouse and me to file our 2025 federal and state income tax returns jointly and divide any refund equally. I have provided all of my tax documents, but my former spouse has not provided the business and tax information repeatedly requested by our accountant. Our extended tax-filing deadline is October 15, 2026, so timely assistance is important. The anticipated scope includes: Reviewing the relevant provisions of the Marital Settlement Agreement and Final Judgment. Advising on the appropriate enforcement procedure. Preparing and filing an FL-300 Request for Order and all required supporting documents. Drafting a clear supporting declaration and proposed orders. Determining whether attorney’s fees, sanctions, reimbursement of costs, or other enforcement remedies should be requested. Advising on proper service because my former spouse may reside outside California and I may not have a confirmed current address. Preparing any additional documents required by the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Advising what should happen if my former spouse complies before the hearing. If applicable, providing limited-scope representation for the hearing. My goal is to obtain compliance with the existing judgment and complete the required tax filing—not to escalate conflict unnecessarily. Qualifications: California-licensed family law attorney in good standing; or Experienced California family law paralegal working under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Strong experience with post-judgment enforcement and Requests for Order. Familiarity with Los Angeles County family-court procedures. Experience with service on an out-of-state party or a party whose current address is unknown. Ability to work promptly and communicate clearly. When responding, please include: Your California family-law experience and professional status. Your experience preparing post-judgment RFOs. Whether you can provide legal advice, document preparation, filing, service coordination, and/or hearing representation. Your estimated fees, anticipated hours, and earliest availability. Whether you offer limited-scope representation. Any information or documents you would need to begin. All information and documents relating to this matter must be treated as confidential.
