I am seeking an experienced legal researcher, California paralegal, legal assistant, law student, or attorney-recruiting researcher to identify California attorneys and legal organizations that may be receptive to supervising a volunteer participant under California State Bar Rule 4.29, the Law Office Study Program. This is not a request for legal representation. The assignment is to research and identify qualified California attorneys, judges, solo practitioners, small firms, and nonprofit legal organizations that may be open to mentorship, volunteer assistance, legal apprenticeship, or supervised legal study. My service interests include helping victims, wrongfully convicted people, incarcerated individuals, justice-involved youth, and affected families. Priority practice areas include criminal appeals, habeas corpus, post-conviction relief, innocence work, juvenile justice, prisoners’ rights, parole, victims’ rights, reentry, immigration, and family advocacy. For each prospect, please provide: Attorney or decision-maker’s full name California Bar number Admission date and current Bar status Firm or organization Practice area Direct professional email or official contact form Telephone number when publicly available Explanation of why the prospect may be receptive Evidence of volunteer, internship, clerkship, mentoring, or public-interest involvement A personalized opening sentence for outreach The initial project is a paid pilot for 25 thoroughly researched and verified prospects. I will provide a list of previously contacted organizations and attorneys, and no duplicates will be accepted. Please describe your California legal-research experience, the databases or methods you will use, and provide a sample of two potential prospects with your proposal. Do not send scraped or purchased bulk attorney lists.
