California State Tax Accountant

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced U.S. tax accountant or CPA with strong knowledge of California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) matters to assist our Delaware LLC in resolving a California tax issue. The ideal candidate has previous experience handling California Notice of Proposed Assessments, nexus determinations, Form 568 filings, and FTB disputes. About Our Company Delaware LLC Amazon FBA wholesale business No California incorporation No employees or office in California Registered with California CDTFA (sales tax permit) We have received a California Franchise Tax Board Notice of Proposed Assessment regarding a prior tax year. Scope of Work The selected accountant will: Review all notices received from the California Franchise Tax Board. Determine whether our company had a California filing requirement. Analyze California nexus for the relevant tax year. Review our business activities and supporting documents. Determine whether Form 568 or any other California return was required. Prepare and file any required California tax returns, if appropriate. Prepare and submit a protest or response to the Notice of Proposed Assessment if justified. Communicate with the California Franchise Tax Board on our behalf (if authorized). Recommend the most cost-effective resolution. Advise on preventing similar issues in future years.
