Cashcow Video Editor Needed

We're looking for a skilled and reliable video editor to join our YouTube automation channel focused on true crime and crime story content. This is an ongoing, long-term role for someone who can consistently deliver engaging, well-paced, and retention-optimized videos on a regular schedule. If you have experience editing narrative-style videos — especially true crime, mystery, or documentary-style content — and understand what keeps viewers watching until the end, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Edit long-form YouTube videos (15–40+ minutes) based on provided scripts and voiceovers Sync voiceover narration with relevant stock footage, images, and B-roll Add subtitles/captions, sound effects, and background music to enhance storytelling Create suspenseful pacing and smooth transitions suited to true crime narratives Use motion graphics, zooms, and text overlays to keep viewer engagement high Optimize videos for YouTube retention (hooks, pacing, no dead air) Design or select thumbnails (a plus, not mandatory) Deliver videos on time according to an agreed weekly/bi-weekly schedule Requirements Proven experience editing YouTube videos, especially in true crime, documentary, or storytelling niches Strong understanding of pacing, tension-building, and audience retention techniques Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut Pro) Ability to source and use royalty-free/stock footage and music appropriately Good eye for visuals — clean cuts, smooth transitions, no jump cuts unless intentional Reliable internet connection and ability to handle large video files Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently Portfolio or samples of previous crime/true crime/narrative video edits (required) Nice to Have Experience with YouTube automation channels specifically Knowledge of SEO-friendly editing practices (thumbnails, titles, hooks) Basic motion graphics or animation skills Familiarity with AI voice tools and stock footage libraries (Storyblocks, Envato, Pexels, etc.) How to Apply Please include the following in your proposal: Links to 2–3 samples of your previous crime/true crime or narrative-style video edits Your typical turnaround time per video Your preferred editing software Your rate (per video or per hour) We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with the right editor, so please only apply if you're available for consistent, ongoing work.
