2D Character Animator Needed for 30-Episode Children’s Animated Series

Job description We are looking for an experienced 2D character animator to work on a children’s animated series, for a special 30-episode series. Each episode will be approximately 2–3 minutes maximum. The creative foundation is already developed. We have approximately 8 recurring characters, established character designs, and the episodes will largely use the same visual environment/backgrounds and recurring assets. The stories/scripts are written by us, and we will also provide the Arabic translation/dialogue. The animator will therefore not be responsible for story writing or translation. The animation style will be 2D character/cartoon animation. We are looking for expressive, engaging animation suitable for children, with particular attention to facial expressions, character movements and interactions. Scope includes: Storyboarding and scene planning based on our scripts 2D character animation Facial expressions, poses and character movements Lip-sync/dialogue animation where required Scene composition and editing Integration of provided voice-over/audio Sound effects where required Final edited episode delivery Creation/use of reusable character rigs, expressions, poses and animation assets to ensure efficient production across all 30 episodes Because the same characters and environments will recur throughout the series, we are specifically looking for an animator who knows how to build an efficient reusable animation workflow rather than recreating assets for every episode. We are open to Moho, Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate or another professional 2D animation workflow that is appropriate for this type of recurring series. How we will select We would first like to produce one paid test episode with the selected animator. If the quality, workflow and collaboration meet our expectations, the intention is to proceed with the full 30-episode series. Whether editable source files, character rigs and reusable animation assets will be provided to us. Whether you have experience working with Arabic dialogue/lip-sync. Arabic fluency is not mandatory, as the Arabic script and audio will be provided. Consistency across all 30 episodes, quality, reliability and ability to meet the production schedule are very important to us.
