We are seeking an experienced Christian Copyeditor & Proofreader to refine, edit, and humanize a 20,000-word manuscript aimed at children and tweens (ages 8–12) titled "Christian Apologetics for Kids and Tweens". The manuscript was initially generated/structured with AI assistance, so this role requires a human touch to ensure the voice is natural, engaging, warm, doctrinally sound, and free of typical AI writing tropes (e.g., repetitive structures, overly formal tone, fluff, or generic phrasing). Key Responsibilities: 1. AI Humanizing & Line Editing: Smooth out robotic phrasing, repetitive sentence starters, and passive voice. Ensure the tone is relatable and engaging for pre-teens without compromising theological accuracy. 2. Copyediting & Proofreading: Fix grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence flow, and readability. 3. Theological Alignment: Ensure basic Christian apologetics concepts (faith, Bible reliability, creation, Jesus's resurrection, etc.) are communicated clearly and accurately for young readers. 4. Track Changes: Provide all edits using Microsoft Word Track Changes (or Google Docs Suggestion Mode) so all modifications are visible.
