Cinema 4D SHORT DEADLINE DUE 26TH OF AUGUST
Worldwide
## Cinema 4D Animator / 3D Artist Needed – 15 Second Themed Ride Animation I’m looking for an experienced **Cinema 4D artist/animator** to help me develop and technically execute a short 3D animation based on an existing Cinema 4D project file. The project is a **15-second themed ride animation**. The camera follows a predefined path while looking sideways into the environment. The goal is to create an immersive world around this fixed camera movement, with strong depth, animation, interaction and visual storytelling. ### Creative Direction The environment itself is open creatively. For example, the camera could move: * alongside a train through an animated landscape; * through or alongside a large aquarium; * through a fantasy/sci-fi world; * or through another original themed environment. The important part is that the complete scene feels like **one coherent world with a clear visual style and progression from beginning to end**. The ride should not simply show static scenery. Different elements should move, react to the camera or create small surprises throughout the 15-second sequence. ### 3D Character The scene must contain at least **one 3D character** that logically belongs in the environment. The character does not need an extremely complex animation, but it should never feel completely frozen. An idle animation or a simple Mixamo animation is perfectly acceptable if it fits the scene. ### Important Technical Restrictions The project starts from an existing **Cinema 4D base file** which I will provide. **The camera may NOT be changed.** Its position, movement and trajectory are fixed in the provided project file. The entire environment therefore needs to be designed and animated around the existing camera movement. Other requirements: * Cinema 4D must be used. * Allowed render engines: **Standard, Physical, ProRender or Redshift**. * No external render engines. * Only free plugins may be used. * No paid plugins. * 3D objects must be created specifically for this project. * No objects downloaded from the internet. * No Cinema 4D Content Library models. * No reused 3D models from previous projects. * No AI-generated 3D objects. * AI may only be used for inspiration or material/texture creation. * Custom shaders/materials should be created or textures can be used in channels such as color, bump, alpha, etc. ### Visual Quality A consistent art direction is important. This can be: * Low poly * Stylized * Cel shaded * Flat / graphic 3D * More realistic * Another coherent visual direction The chosen style should be applied consistently across the entire environment. Attention should be given to: * composition; * depth and parallax; * color palette; * modelling quality; * shading/materials; * lighting; * reflections; * animation; * visual storytelling. Lighting should be properly set up using techniques such as area lights, spotlights, emissive lighting, HDRI, etc., depending on the chosen visual style. ### Interaction & Animation The strongest part of the project should be the feeling that the viewer is actually travelling through a living environment. Examples could include: * objects reacting as the camera passes; * characters looking toward or reacting to the viewer; * doors opening; * creatures appearing; * objects moving close to the camera; * environmental animations; * foreground/midground/background movement; * unexpected reveals. The complete 15 seconds should remain visually interesting from beginning to end. ### Audio The final animation should also contain appropriate **royalty-free music, sound design or a soundscape** that supports the experience. ### Evaluation Priorities The most important areas are: **Creative Design** * Coherent world * Strong composition * Elements logically fitting together **Story / Experience** * Interesting journey from start to finish * Interaction with the viewer/camera * Surprises and environmental animation **Visual Design** * Color palette * Style consistency * Shading * Lighting **3D Quality** * Modelling * Materials/shading * Quality of the main/hero objects **Technical Quality** * Lighting setup * Rendering * Animation * Audio mix ### Deliverables / Collaboration I will provide: * the original Cinema 4D base file with the protected camera setup; * technical requirements; * creative direction/references for the world. I’m looking for someone who is comfortable with **Cinema 4D modelling, animation, lighting, Redshift/rendering and character integration**, and who can help turn the concept into a polished 15-second sequence while respecting all of the restrictions above. Please include examples of **Cinema 4D environments, stylized 3D animation or character-based work** in your application. **Important:** Super Mario- or Minecraft-inspired concepts cannot be used.
