Cinematic Video Editor for Motorcycle Trip
Worldwide
I’m looking for an experienced video editor/documentary editor to turn a large collection of footage from a 14-day motorcycle trip around Ireland into a cinematic, engaging travel documentary. The project contains approximately 2.33 TB of footage, consisting primarily of Insta360 video footage, along with photographs. The footage covers the full 14-day trip and has preserved dates, making it possible to organise everything chronologically. What I Need The final edit should feel cinematic, adventurous, fun and story-driven, with a strong emphasis on Ireland’s landscapes, scenery and the overall experience of the motorcycle journey. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing and organising the footage chronologically Selecting the strongest and most interesting moments Creating a coherent story from the 14-day trip Building an engaging documentary-style edit Making strong use of scenic/landscape footage Incorporating photographs where appropriate Using music to create the right atmosphere and pacing Basic sound design/audio cleanup Colour correction and cinematic grading Smooth transitions and overall visual polish Creating a finished video that feels professionally produced There was unfortunately a video card loss on the first day of the trip, so footage from that day is limited. However, photographs are available and should be incorporated creatively to help tell that part of the story. The final project could work as one longer documentary or potentially multiple parts, depending on how much strong material is available. Important Because there is a large amount of footage, I’m looking for someone who is comfortable reviewing large volumes of material and making good creative decisions, rather than simply assembling clips. The footage will be provided through cloud storage. You do not necessarily need to download the entire 2.33 TB at once; we can discuss the most practical workflow for accessing the required files. Ideal Editor You should have: Strong documentary/travel editing experience Excellent storytelling instincts Experience handling large footage libraries Good understanding of pacing and music Strong colour and audio skills An eye for cinematic landscape footage Experience with Insta360 footage is a bonus I’m looking for someone reliable who can take ownership of the edit and turn a large amount of raw footage into a genuinely engaging final documentary.
