Claude Code / AI Automation Developer – Build an AI-Native SEO Agency Freelance | Initial build project + potential ongoing work | Remote We’re a UK SEO, GEO and Digital PR agency looking for an experienced Claude Code / Agentic AI Developer to help us redesign and automate a significant part of our agency delivery. Our long-term goal is simple: Automate as much repetitive SEO analysis, reporting, research and workflow management as practically possible using Claude Code, Skills, MCP, APIs and agentic workflows. We want our human team focused primarily on strategy, judgement, client relationships and higher-value execution rather than manually collecting and analysing data every month. What we want to build We want to create an internal AI operating system for our agency. Claude should ultimately be capable of accessing data from multiple platforms, following our internal methodologies/SOPs, performing analysis, identifying opportunities and producing clear recommended actions for human review. Potential workflows include: * Monthly SEO performance analysis * Google Search Console analysis * GA4 traffic and conversion analysis * Keyword/ranking analysis * Content decay identification * Content opportunity analysis * Technical SEO auditing * Screaming Frog crawl analysis * Competitor analysis * Backlink and authority analysis * GEO / AI visibility analysis * Digital PR and brand mention opportunity analysis * Client reporting * Prioritised SEO recommendations * Automated task creation and project management * Outreach research and workflow automation We do not expect all of this to be built immediately. We would prefer to start with several high-value workflows, prove they work reliably, and progressively expand the system. Technology / integrations Our current agency stack includes tools such as: * Google Search Console * GA4 * Ahrefs * Screaming Frog * Looker Studio * Buzzsteam *Hunter.io * Teamwork * Google Drive / Sheets * SourceSignal, our own AI search intelligence platform Some platforms may have existing integrations or MCP servers. Others may require custom API integrations, custom MCP servers or alternative solutions. Part of your role will be determining the best technical architecture rather than simply connecting existing tools. What we're looking for Strong experience with: * Claude Code * Claude Skills * MCP * Agentic AI architecture * API integrations * Custom MCP/tool development * Python and/or TypeScript * Authentication / OAuth * Structured data processing * Reliable multi-step AI workflows * Human approval / QA processes * Logging, error handling and monitoring Experience with SEO or digital marketing is highly desirable. You don't need to be an expert SEO consultant, but you should understand concepts such as: * Search Console and GA4 * Rankings and keyword data * Technical SEO * Crawling * Content performance * Backlinks and authority * Digital PR * GEO / AI search visibility We need someone capable of understanding an agency workflow and translating it into a reliable AI system. How we'd like to work We don't already have perfectly documented technical specifications for every workflow. Initially, we'll explain how we currently perform tasks, what data we use, what decisions we're trying to make and what the desired output should look like. We need someone who can then help: Understand the process → challenge/improve it → document it → turn it into Claude Skills/workflows → connect the required systems → test it → refine it until reliable. We're therefore looking for someone who can think architecturally and solve problems, rather than someone who needs every technical step prescribed in advance. Important: reliability over flashy demos We're not looking for basic ChatGPT prompts wrapped in automation. The system needs to eventually handle real client work, so we care about: * Accuracy * Repeatability * Appropriate human approval * Data security * Client/account separation * Error handling * Auditability * Avoiding hallucinated recommendations * Keeping workflows maintainable as tools and models change Human consultants will remain responsible for reviewing important recommendations and communicating strategy to clients. Initial project We expect the first phase to focus on one or two real agency workflows. For example: Monthly SEO Analysis Agent Pull relevant data from GSC, GA4, rankings and Ahrefs → analyse meaningful changes → investigate likely causes → identify opportunities/problems → prioritise recommended actions → produce a structured consultant-ready output. Once we've proven the architecture works, we'd progressively add additional workflows and integrations. Longer-term opportunity This could become an ongoing relationship. Our ambition is to make the agency increasingly AI-native, with Claude/AI handling much of the repetitive analytical and operational workload while experienced consultants oversee strategy and client relationships. We're therefore particularly interested in someone who wants to help build and continuously improve the underlying system, rather than simply complete one automation project and disappear.
