Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for Autoscaling Real-Time Node.js Web App (AWS / Docker / WebSockets)

Project Overview: We are launching a real-time multiplayer social hub. The Node.js/TypeScript application manages isolated rooms of 10-15 users via persistent WebSocket connections. We need an infrastructure expert to design a production-ready, highly scalable cloud architecture capable of handling up to 1,000+ simultaneous room instances (10k+ concurrent connected users) smoothly and without lag. Key Responsibilities: •⁠ ⁠Containerize the Node.js/Colyseus multiplayer application using Docker. •⁠ ⁠Architect a highly scalable cloud environment on AWS (or DigitalOcean) using Kubernetes (EKS) or AWS ECS. •⁠ ⁠Implement an automated, sticky-session Load Balancer to dynamically route incoming users to available server nodes. •⁠ ⁠Configure Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) to dynamically scale server instances based on real-time room and memory demand. •⁠ ⁠Integrate Redis for high-speed, in-memory state management to prevent main database read/write bottlenecks. Required Skills: •⁠ ⁠AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, ALB) or DigitalOcean Kubernetes (DOKS) •⁠ ⁠Docker & Kubernetes (Expert) •⁠ ⁠Production experience with Redis caching and cluster setup •⁠ ⁠Expert knowledge of scaling and load-balancing stateful, persistent WebSocket connections
