Comedy Scriptwriter for Animated History YouTube Channel (ongoing)

Probably Fine is an animated history channel with deadpan, dark humor, in the style of OverSimplified. We're looking for a scriptwriter for ongoing, recurring work. THE ROLE You'll write scripts for our long-form animated history videos: real historical topics told with a dry, deadpan narrator and characters talking to each other. This is a history channel first, the history carries the video and the comedy rides on top. The humor comes from understatement and character interaction, not obvious punchlines delivered to camera. Every video builds a thesis that pays off by the end. Think OverSimplified in tone and rhythm. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - A genuine love of history, the facts have to be real and accurate (you can exaggerate the framing, never invent history) - Comedy that lives in character dialogue and situations, not just narrator voiceover - Dry, understated comedic timing (deadpan, not loud or slapstick) - Tight narrative structure with a real payoff - Experience writing for retention-driven YouTube is a plus THE WORK - 20-25 minute scripts - 2/4 scripts a month, ongoing and recurring - Long-term collaboration, not a one-off - Remote, timezone flexible Pay: $500 per script depending on experience, recurring.
