E-Commerce & Retail AI – Subject Matter Expert

About the Role We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce AI & Recommender Systems Subject Matter Expert to collaborate with us on a project-based basis. We would particularly welcome applications from professors, researchers, industry professionals, or senior practitioners with significant expertise in recommender systems, personalization, e-commerce/retail AI, search and ranking, information retrieval, user modeling, or applied machine learning for consumer and commerce products. The expert will review an applicant’s educational background, professional experience, research/publications, technical work, and supporting documentation and provide an independent professional assessment based on their expertise in e-commerce AI, recommender systems, personalization, and related areas. Responsibilities Review the applicant’s academic and professional background, research, publications, technical experience, and supporting documentation. Evaluate the applicant’s qualifications, research contributions, and professional experience from the perspective of an established expert in e-commerce AI, recommender systems, personalization, or related fields. Review a draft Expert Opinion Letter prepared by our team. Have full professional authority to edit, revise, restructure, expand, or completely rewrite the draft letter as they deem appropriate. Ensure that the final letter accurately reflects their own professional expertise, independent assessment, and professional judgment. Provide any additional feedback or recommendations necessary to strengthen the letter. Finalize and approve the letter based entirely on their independent professional judgment. Sign the finalized Expert Opinion Letter where appropriate.
