Company & Executive Research for Prospecting Database
Worldwide
Company & Executive Research for Prospecting Database | 106 Companies I’m looking for an experienced, highly detail-oriented researcher to complete and verify information for a prospecting database of 106 companies The Company Name and Website columns will already be provided. Your job will be to research, verify, and populate the remaining fields in an existing Excel spreadsheet. Accuracy is the highest priority. This is not a basic copy-and-paste data entry project. I need someone who is resourceful, thorough, and comfortable cross-checking multiple credible sources. Spreadsheet Columns The spreadsheet contains the following columns: 1. **Company Name** – Already provided. 2. **Description** – Provide a brief description of what the company does, including its primary products/services and general business model. Keep this concise, ideally 1–2 sentences and no more than 3 sentences. 3. **HQ City** – City where the company’s primary corporate headquarters is located. 4. **HQ State** – State where the company’s primary corporate headquarters is located. Most companies on this list should be headquartered in Southern California. Please verify that this is the company’s actual corporate headquarters and not simply a retail location, warehouse, registered agent address, distribution center, or other operating location. If a company is headquartered outside Southern California but maintains a meaningful corporate office in Southern California, please flag it for review rather than changing the actual HQ City and HQ State. 5. **Website** – Already provided. 6. **Industry** – The company’s primary broad industry classification. Please use consistent classifications across the spreadsheet. Examples: • Beauty & Personal Care • Food & Beverage • Consumer Products • Apparel & Accessories • Hospitality • Manufacturing • Retail • Technology 7. **Sub-Industry** – A more specific classification describing the company’s primary business within its broader industry. Examples: • Beauty & Personal Care → Skincare • Beauty & Personal Care → Cosmetics • Beauty & Personal Care → Haircare • Food & Beverage → Food Manufacturing • Food & Beverage → Beverage Manufacturing • Food & Beverage → Packaged Foods • Hospitality → Restaurants • Hospitality → Hotels & Resorts • Apparel & Accessories → Footwear • Apparel & Accessories → Women's Apparel • Consumer Products → Toys & Games • Consumer Products → Home & Housewares The **Industry** should be the broad category and the **Sub-Industry** should identify the company's more specific line of business. Please avoid creating unnecessarily specific or inconsistent categories. Companies operating in substantially the same business should generally use the same Industry and Sub-Industry classifications. 8. **Revenue** – Most recent credible annual revenue figure or estimate available. Prioritize actual reported revenue when available. If actual revenue is unavailable, a credible third-party estimate is acceptable. 9. **EBITDA** – Most recent credible EBITDA figure available, when reasonably verifiable. If unavailable, leave blank rather than estimating or calculating it. 10. **PE Sponsor / Parent Company** – Current private equity sponsor, parent company, or controlling corporate owner, if applicable. Please verify that the ownership information is current. 11. **CEO Name** – Full name of the current CEO. 12. **CEO Email** – Direct professional email address when reasonably verifiable. Do not use generic company email addresses such as info@, hello@, support@, etc. 13. **CEO Mailing Address** – Best verified business mailing address where physical correspondence addressed directly to the CEO is likely to reach their office. Whenever reasonably possible, determine the corporate office where the CEO is actually based rather than automatically assuming the CEO works at the company's headquarters. Please provide the complete mailing address, including street address, suite/floor when applicable, city, state, and ZIP code. 14. **CFO Name** – Full name of the current CFO or most senior finance executive if the company does not have someone with the exact CFO title. 15. **CFO Email** – Direct professional email address when reasonably verifiable. Do not use generic company email addresses. 16. **CFO Mailing Address** – Best verified business mailing address where physical correspondence addressed directly to the CFO is likely to reach their office. Whenever reasonably possible, determine the corporate office where the CFO is actually based rather than automatically assuming the CFO works at the company's headquarters. Please provide the complete mailing address, including street address, suite/floor when applicable, city, state, and ZIP code. 17. **Recent Capital Raise / Transaction** – Include meaningful financing or transaction activity within approximately the last 3 years, including equity raises, debt financings, refinancings, acquisitions, PE investments, recapitalizations, mergers, company sales, or other significant strategic transactions. Keep this concise and include the **transaction type, date/year, dollar amount, and relevant investor/lender/acquirer/sponsor when available**. 18. **Recent Company News** – Include 1–2 meaningful recent business developments that could be useful from a business/prospecting perspective. Examples include expansion, acquisitions, new facilities, significant store/location growth, major executive changes, significant partnerships, major contracts, ownership changes, entry into new markets, or other meaningful growth initiatives. Please prioritize substantive business developments over routine PR announcements or minor product launches. 19. **Notes** – Please leave this column blank. It is for my personal use. ## Location & Executive Mailing Address Requirements Most companies should be headquartered in **Southern California**. However, determining the CEO and CFO mailing addresses requires additional research. The goal is not simply to find a valid company address. I specifically need the **best business address for sending physical correspondence directly to each executive**. If the CEO/CFO is confirmed to work from the company's headquarters, the executive mailing address can be the headquarters address. If the executive works from another corporate office, please use that office instead. Do not use a home/personal address. Do not use retail stores, warehouses, distribution centers, registered agent addresses, or unrelated operating locations. If you cannot reasonably determine where an executive is based, please do not guess. Flag the information for review. ## Accuracy & Research Standards **Accuracy is extremely important.** Please prioritize current, credible sources, including company websites and leadership pages, official company press releases, SEC filings when applicable, PE sponsor websites, official transaction announcements, PitchBook, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Crunchbase, LinkedIn/LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo/Apollo or similar professional databases, and reputable business publications. Please cross-check important information whenever possible, particularly: • CEO and CFO names/current employment • CEO and CFO office locations • Headquarters city/state • Revenue and EBITDA • Current ownership / PE sponsors • Recent transactions **Do not guess or fill a cell simply for the sake of completeness.** If information cannot be reliably verified, leave the field blank or flag it for review. Current and accurate information is significantly more important than having every field populated. ## Project Size & Turnaround This project consists of **106 companies**. I need a **fast turnaround** and will prioritize freelancers who can begin immediately and complete the research quickly without sacrificing accuracy or quality. When applying, please include: • Your estimated turnaround time for all 106 companies • Your experience with company, executive, financial, or investment research • Which paid databases/research tools you currently have access to • How you verify executive email addresses • How you verify where CEOs and CFOs are physically based • Your total fixed-price quote for completing all 106 companies Please only apply if you are comfortable conducting detailed company and executive research and independently verifying information. The goal is to create a highly accurate prospecting database that I can confidently use without having to independently re-check every field.
