AI Compliance & SOP Optimization Specialist — Audit, Prompt Engineering

Job Description We are seeking an experienced AI Workflow & Compliance Consultant to assist a non-profit residential organization in auditing, standardizing, and modernizing our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across multiple care programs (Youth, Adult/Bridge, and Family). Our goal is to eliminate operational liability risks, identify regulatory gaps, standardize SOP formats, and build a streamlined internal AI system that enables staff to generate compliant SOPs and query existing operational policies quickly. Project Scope & Core Deliverables Phase 1: SOP Audit & Regulatory Gap Analysis Ingest existing SOP documents and state regulatory handbooks (e.g., NY OCFS, DOH, OMH compliance guidelines) into a secure AI environment. Perform an automated comparative audit to identify missing policies, unwritten operational edge cases (e.g., youth resident property/vehicle purchases, curfew exceptions), and high-liability exposure areas (resident safety, medication management, incident reporting, transportation). Deliver a prioritized Gap Analysis Report & Liability Matrix with recommended policy additions. Phase 2: SOP Standardization & Custom Skill Files (Prompt Engineering) Design a unified, clean SOP template structure for all programs. Create reusable Skill Files / System Prompts tailored to our team to help non-technical staff generate, edit, and format compliant SOPs consistently in the future. Phase 3: Searchable AI Query Setup (Knowledge Base) Configure a HIPAA-compliant search/query solution (leveraging our existing Google Workspace for Nonprofits / Gemini / Cloud Search environment or a secure private RAG alternative) allowing staff to ask natural-language operational questions and retrieve exact SOP guidelines immediately. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills AI & Prompt Engineering: Deep expertise in prompt design, system skill creation, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks. Compliance & Operations: Experience working with regulated environments, non-profits, healthcare, or human services compliance (familiarity with NY state bodies like OCFS, DOH, or OMH is a strong plus). Google Workspace Integration: Proficiency configuring workflows, AI tools, or search interfaces within HIPAA-compliant Google Workspace / G Suite ecosystems. Process Documentation: Proven track record in business process modeling, SOP creation, and policy governance.
