Configure Azure File Share with SMB script mapping

Summary

We are planning and testing for options to replace on-premises file servers and mapped network drives. We want to test the Entra-Only authentication and permissions that resemble mapped network drives (i.e. J, K, M, etc.) and automate their connections based on Group memberships in Azure. Azure VPN may be required or on-premises IP validation is acceptable through hardware VPN to satisfy Conditional Access Policies. SMB mapping and not NFS required.
