I need your legal advice regarding an individual in the Philippines who is impersonating our California company and falsely presenting herself as working with our company to allegedly scam U.S. clients. Payments are being collected through PayPal and other online payment merchants. There is also a negative BBB review against our company because a client mistakenly believed that we were involved in the scam. This is now affecting our company’s reputation. I would like to understand the appropriate legal steps to protect our company, assist the victims, correct the misinformation, and pursue legal action against the individual.
