Consumer Product Development – Mechanical, Electronics & CAD Engineer

About the Project We are developing a small rechargeable handheld device for a specific crushing/mixing application. The product needs to be compact, easy to use, ergonomic, cost-effective, and suitable for mass manufacturing. At this stage, we are looking for someone who can take the concept and develop it into a professional, production-ready product design. Scope of Work The selected freelancer will be responsible for: Industrial/product design of the device Mechanical design and internal component arrangement Development of 3D CAD models Design optimization for manufacturing Selection/recommendation of suitable materials Product assembly considerations Prototype-ready design DFM (Design for Manufacturing) considerations Production/mold-ready CAD development Final 3D CAD files and technical documentation Basic Product Requirements Compact handheld form factor Rechargeable battery-powered device Simple user operation Small, portable and ergonomic design Designed for cost-effective mass production Plastic housing Mechanical + electronic components integrated within the enclosure Ideal Freelancer We are looking for someone with experience in: Consumer product design Mechanical engineering Industrial design 3D CAD / SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / similar DFM and injection-molded plastic products Compact electronic product enclosures Prototype development Preparing designs for mass production Deliverables Industrial design concept Detailed 3D CAD model Mechanical design Assembly design Production-ready STEP files DFM recommendations Material recommendations Manufacturing considerations Important: Detailed product functionality, internal mechanism, reference material and other confidential technical information will be shared with the shortlisted freelancer after initial discussion / NDA.
