Content Creator / Videographer — Colombia

Climate, Environment & Disaster Response Nonprofit We are a nonprofit media organization seeking a Colombia-based Content Creator to help produce compelling visual stories focused on climate change, environmental issues, natural disasters, community resilience, and recovery efforts across Colombia. You must currently live in Colombia and be available for local/on-location assignments. Preference will be given to candidates who understand Colombian communities, geography, environmental issues, and local news. What You’ll Do ● Film and photograph environmental and disaster-related stories on location ● Create short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels and other social platforms ● Conduct short interviews with community members, experts, NGOs, and local organizations ● Document disaster impacts, recovery efforts, climate issues, and community solutions ● Identify timely local stories and potential filming opportunities ● Provide high-quality raw footage, photographs, and edited social content ● Coordinate remotely with our nonprofit team Who We’re Looking For ● Must be based in Colombia ● Experience in content creation, videography, journalism, documentary production, or social media ● Strong storytelling and visual skills ● Comfortable working independently in the field ● Access to professional or high-quality filming equipment ● Ability to capture both horizontal and vertical video ● Knowledge of climate, environmental, humanitarian, or disaster-related issues is a strong advantage ● Existing relationships with local communities, environmental organizations, journalists, emergency-response organizations, universities, or government agencies are a plus ● Spanish fluency required; English is a plus ● Ability to travel within Colombia for assignments is highly desirable Content We Cover Our work focuses on the intersection of climate change, disasters, environmental protection, vulnerable communities, the Amazon, resilience, and recovery. Assignments may include earthquake recovery, flooding, wildfires, extreme weather, deforestation, biodiversity, environmental justice, and community-led solutions.
