Content Marketing Manager

The Content Marketing Manager owns the planning, development, and production of content required to support approved vertical, channel, product, and demand-generation strategies. The role translates campaign direction into content plans, editorial programs, creative briefs, and market-ready assets. Content planning • Translate campaign strategies into detailed content plans and asset requirements • Map content to buyer needs, funnel stages, use cases, and campaign milestones • Maintain editorial and content production calendars • Identify opportunities to reuse, adapt, and modularize content across verticals and channels • Recommend content formats based on the approved campaign strategy Content development • Develop or manage creation of articles, guides, case studies, emails, landing-page copy, webinar materials, sales tools, and related assets • Interview internal subject-matter experts and convert technical knowledge into clear market-facing content • Edit content for clarity, consistency, brand alignment, and audience relevance • Manage freelance writers, agencies, or other external content resources when required Creative briefing and production management • Develop complete creative briefs based on approved campaign direction • Define asset requirements, messages, specifications, deadlines, and approval paths • Coordinate work across designers, subject-matter experts, product teams, sales, and marketing stakeholders • Manage content and creative production timelines • Ensure campaign assets are complete and ready for activation Content governance • Maintain brand, editorial, messaging, and content-quality standards • Establish templates and repeatable content-development processes • Maintain an organized content library • Track content usage, expiration, and refresh requirements • Ensure content can be efficiently adapted across distributors, verticals, products, and channels Content performance support • Review campaign and content performance with the Demand Generation and Vertical Marketing Manager • Identify which content formats, messages, and assets are performing effectively • Recommend revisions, refreshes, and new content based on campaign results • Track content production, utilization, engagement, and reuse Qualifications • 5 to 8 years of B2B content marketing, content strategy, or campaign content experience • Proven ability to translate approved marketing strategies into content plans, editorial calendars, asset requirements, and creative briefs • Strong writing and editing skills across formats such as case studies, guides, emails, landing pages, webinars, and sales enablement materials • Experience interviewing subject-matter experts and simplifying technical or complex information • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and approval workflows • Experience partnering with creative, product, sales, channel marketing, and demand-generation teams • Working knowledge of content management systems, marketing automation, CRM, and basic content performance metrics • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, safety, distribution, or another technical B2B environment preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with equivalent experience considered • Best-fit candidate is a strong content operator and strategist, not a demand-generation owner or general copywriter
