Copy Editor with InDesign Expertise

Project Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Copy Editor with proven Adobe InDesign experience to support the final editing and polishing of curriculum materials. This project involves editing directly in InDesign files, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and clean formatting throughout. What You’ll Do - Edit and proofread text for grammar, clarity, tone, and alignment with style guidelines. - Make all text edits directly in Adobe InDesign (no exporting to Word or PDF markups). - Ensure all copy fits within layout constraints and maintains visual consistency. - Flag any design issues, text overflow, or inconsistencies you notice during editing. - Collaborate with the project lead through brief check-ins or comments within the files. - Required Skills & Experience - Demonstrated experience as a Copy Editor or Proofreader. - Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign (required). - Experience editing curriculum, instructional materials, or long-form documents is a plus. - Excellent command of grammar and ability to maintain consistent style and voice. - High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
