# Correctional Facility Mailing List + Data Research We are looking for someone to handle the research and data preparation for a mailing campaign to correctional facilities in the United States. We will provide **15 facilities**. For each facility, you will research and verify: * Current inmate mail/postcard rules * Exact mailing format * Required inmate ID or booking information * Return-address requirements * Whether mail is delivered physically, photocopied, scanned, or digitally * Whether 4x6 postcards are accepted * Official/authorized methods for obtaining or processing current mailing lists * Any other requirements that could affect whether our mail can be successfully delivered We also need help preparing a clean mailing file for our mail house when the appropriate data is available. ### Important We do **not** want old, random, questionable, or scraped lists. Information should come from official, authorized, or reputable sources. Each facility's information should be documented with the source and date it was verified. ### Final Deliverables **1. Campaign Mailing File** A clean, organized file ready for our mail house, containing the required recipient and facility mailing fields. We ultimately want approximately **3,000 current, deliverable records** for the first mailing, subject to what can legitimately and appropriately be obtained. ### Who We Want We are looking for someone experienced with: * Internet/data research * Public records research * Excel / Google Sheets * Mailing lists * Data cleaning * Correctional facility, jail, or prison research Correctional facility research experience is a major plus. ### In Your Proposal Please tell us: 1. How you would make sure the data is current and accurate 5. Your fixed price Please **do not send a generic proposal**. We want someone who actually understands the project and can explain their research process. Our starting budget is **$300 fixed price**. If you believe the project requires $400–$500 because of your experience or the amount of work involved, explain why. **Do not request additional funds or expand the budget without discussing it with us first.** If hired, communication and progress updates will be important. We will regularly track: * Facilities completed * Green / Yellow / Red status * Number of usable mailing records * What is still outstanding * Any facilities or data you are waiting on
