Job Listing – Court Researcher (Dominica) Title: Court Researcher Needed – Probate & Guardianship Case Verification at High Court, Roseau Project Type: Direct Hire (Private Listing) Compensation: Flat Rate, 3 Installment payments total of $125.00 USD Overview I am seeking a reliable court researcher located in the Commonwealth of Dominica to conduct an in person records check at the High Court of Justice in Roseau. The purpose of this engagement is to determine whether any probate or guardianship matters are currently filed or ongoing for specific individuals. This requires physical access to the Registry and familiarity with how case files are indexed and retrieved. You will not be acting in a representative capacity. Scope of Work • Visit the High Court Registry in Roseau during business hours. • Request information from the Registry staff regarding: o Whether any probate cases are filed or pending o Whether any guardianship cases are filed or pending o Whether any Power of Attorney documents have been registered o A list of questions will be provided • Search the physical or electronic case index (as applicable). • Confirm whether files exist, are active, or have been closed. • Record the following details for any located matters: o Case number o Parties involved o Filing date o Status (pending, granted, closed, etc.) • Obtain copies of publicly accessible documents. Please inform me if costs will exceed $25.00 USD. I will make adjustments to requested documents as necessary to keep costs reasonable. • Obtain an estimate of costs for document copies. • Provide a short written summary of findings. Ideal Candidate • Located in or near Roseau, Dominica • Strong administrative and clerical skills • Experience with court filings, legal research, or paralegal work • Comfortable interacting with Registry clerks and navigating High Court procedures • Detail oriented and able to follow a structured checklist • Reliable communication and timely updates Deliverables • Confirmation of visit to the High Court Registry by submitting answers to questions • Written summary of findings (probate and guardianship) • Case details for any matters located • Copies of documents or receipts, if available • Clear photos/scans of documents if requested Payment Structure Flat rate, paid in milestones: 1. Milestone 1: Confirmation of Registry visit + submission of the Registry’s office answers to questions ($25.00) 2. Milestone 2: Delivery of research findings + case details ($40.00) 3. Milestone 3: Delivery of copies, receipts, or stamped documents ($60.00) Additional Notes • Court copy fees will be reimbursed upon presentation of the official Registry receipt. • An initial $25.00 for document fees will be granted upon your acceptance of the job. • How you deliver the documents to me will depend on the quantity of documents.
