Create a video tutorial demonstrating how to record acoustic drums in Cubase
Worldwide
I have no knowledge of Cubase at all and want someone to create a video tutorial showing how to record my acoustic drum kit and then basic mixing/editing. I have the Audient EVO16 interface that I will use to connect with Cubase. The version of Cubase I will be using is the Cubase LE (as it comes free with the EVO16). My drum kit is a 5 piece kit with 2 crash cymbals, a ride cymbal and an effects cymbal. I have 7 microphones that I will connect to the EVO16. The video tutorial does NOT need to cover microphone placement. The video tutorial should show: - how to connect the EVO16 to Cubase - starting a new project from scratch - adding the 7 tracks for each of my microphones, and the best way to structure the tracks - adding in an mp3 song that i can record my drums to - connecting my iphone so I can make a video of the recording and potentially using the audio from the video as an extra "room mic" - how to record - adding in a metronome count to play along to on the recording (which is then muted in the final mix) - how to mix the drums at a reasonably basic level with things like EQ, compression, reverb and other commonly used effects or stock plug ins - how to save templates for recording so I don't have to repeat the same thing each time - how to save the whole recording and export it as either a video with the recorded/mixed audio to save on my laptop, or just as audio only into an mp3 file - Handy shortcuts to know in Cubase - Any other useful things to know in Cubase I know there is a ton of features in Cubase, a lot of which I probably don't need to know. I just want to create drum cover videos and have my drum kit sound beautiful. I've gone on YouTube and it is a bit overwhelming, hence why I want a video summarizing the best way to do it in a fairly simple way. The video should be a clear recording of your screen as you take me through the process, and you should speak English clearly. If you click on the below YouTube video link, I want my drums to sound kind of like he has done at about the 4min mark with the Sennheiser e600 drum microphones. This can give you an indication of my expectations. He said he only uses basic mixing/editing to get this sound (in case the link doesn't work, type into YouTube "7 Best Drum Mic Kits" and look for the video by Gideon Waxman) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXv_PVNUROE&t=266s I think this should be quite simple and straightforward for someone with Cubase knowledge. Could you please quote me on a Lump Sum basis for the project and not just an hourly rate? Thankyou
