Creative Director for Solo, Cinematic, Live Music Performance. Nashville based, in person preferred

Hello! I'm Lisa a Nashville-based independent country artist. I am developing an original solo cinematic live performance which combines storytelling and visual elements of my journey as an artist moving from Sweden to Nashville and the twists and turns and challenges that has shaped my path and the pursuit of a lifelong dream. The first initial goal is to create a 30 minute live performance sort of an intimate theatre style performance. The larger vision is to eventually develop this into a longer cinematic show for about 60 minutes and want to create a pilot and leave the audience wanting more. The performance is an autobiographical journey inspired by my life to date, with themes of identity, struggles, resilience, humour to connect with the audience and to feel emotionally connected with the storyline and the live music combined. I am looking for a creative show director to help me shape the artistic vision and develop the live show performance and be a creative collaborator to shape my artistic vision and also explore ideas and brainstorm as a team. Someone with experience with live performances, story telling based work and who enjoys building original projects from the beginning. The collaboration would include: -Brainstorming the overall concept and the autobiographical journey -Helping to shape the structure and flow between songs and storytelling -Exploring staging, pacing, movement and audience connection -Bringing a creative perspective to help transform an idea into a compelling live cinematic experience This would begin as an initial development phase to explore our creative fit, with the possibility of continuing collaboration as the project grows. Nashville based preferred to assist with rehearsals and stage setup. Please share examples of your work and how you would approach developing something like this and any ideas you may have about the direction of this project. This is an early development phase and being a student I am working with a limited budget but open to discuss a rate that works for both of us. This opportunity may be a great fit for an emerging theatre director as well.
