Creative Front-End Developer for Interactive Bilingual Book & Music Website

Job Description: We are seeking a talented front-end web designer/developer to build a responsive, bilingual (English/Spanish) landing page and interactive showcase for an upcoming book and companion music album project. All copy, wireframe notes, audio tracks, video clips, and high-resolution assets are finalized and ready to supply. Scope of Work: Gateway Landing Experience: Build an initial split-screen gateway featuring English and Spanish archetypes with clear action buttons. Bilingual Switcher: Implement an upper-left language toggle (EN | ES) that dynamically switches typography, assets, and language content smoothly. Audio & Timed Lyric Sync Engine: Build an interactive 16:9 hero section featuring a 40-second audio track. During playback, text/lyrics must fade in and out at exact second-stamped intervals (e.g., lines fading across 0:00–0:10, 0:10–0:20, etc.) in the sky/negative space of the header visual, fading to a secondary call-to-action upon track completion. Programmatic Video Cards: Embed two styled MP4 video cards in the author/partner section. Both must autoplay muted, play exactly once (no looping), and freeze cleanly on the final frame as a static portrait. Editorial Authorship Layout: Style a two-column "Two Friends, One Message" biographical section with high-contrast, elegant serif typography. Music Showcase & Product Displays: Layout book display cards and an audio snippet player section mapped to companion album tracks. Outbound purchase and streaming buttons will temporarily route to an email waitlist modal until final retail links go live. Preferred Tech Stacks: Webflow + custom JavaScript (HTML5 Audio/Video APIs)Astro, Next.js, or clean lightweight static code (HTML5 / Tailwind CSS / Vanilla JS)(Note: Please do not propose heavy, bloated WordPress page builders like Elementor or Divi for this build). Deliverables & Proposed Milestones: Milestone 1 (40%): Site structure, responsive desktop/mobile layouts, serif typography, and functional dynamic EN/ES toggle. Milestone 2 (40%): Media engine build—timestamped fading lyric synchronization, single-play video freeze-frame behavior, and snippet player. Milestone 3 (20%): Cross-browser and mobile audio/video QA (iOS Safari & Android Chrome compliance), asset optimization, email waitlist capture connection, and domain staging.
