Creature Animator Needed for Realistic T. rex Hunting Animation – Paid Test Project
Worldwide
Hi, I’m looking for a skilled 3D Creature Animator to work with ORVEX STUDIOS on realistic dinosaur animations. This first project will be a paid test task. If the quality and collaboration are a good fit, I’m looking for someone who could potentially work with me on many more dinosaur and creature animations in the future. For the test animation, the scene features a Tyrannosaurus rex hunting and killing a Parasaurolophus. The models and rigs will be provided. The main focus of the job is the creature animation. Animation Sequence The Parasaurolophus is peacefully grazing in an open grassy area near the edge of a forest. The T. rex has been stalking the animal from within the forest. At the right moment, the T. rex suddenly bursts out from the forest and charges toward the Parasaurolophus. The Parasaurolophus becomes startled and attempts to react and escape, but notices the attack too late. The T. rex catches up while running and grabs the Parasaurolophus around the neck / upper neck area with its jaws. It then performs one strong and powerful bite, representing a fatal neck injury. Immediately after the bite, the Parasaurolophus should lose its muscular tension and become completely limp. The T. rex releases the animal, and the Parasaurolophus collapses heavily and naturally onto the ground, with its head, neck, legs and tail reacting naturally to gravity, momentum and its own body weight. The T. rex remains standing over the fallen prey after successfully completing the hunt. Animation Style The goal is realistic animal movement, not exaggerated monster-style animation. Weight and physicality are extremely important. The T. rex should feel like a massive and powerful animal, with believable: Foot planting Hip and torso movement Momentum Acceleration Body weight Head and neck movement The Parasaurolophus should feel alive and responsive before the attack. One of the most important moments is the transition from: Alive and reacting → fatal bite → sudden loss of muscular tension → heavy collapse The body should not simply become stiff or fall like a rigid object. After the bite, it should feel like a heavy animal that has suddenly lost control of its muscles. Future Work This animation is intended as a paid test project. ORVEX STUDIOS is developing additional prehistoric creature animations and cinematic sequences, so if the result is strong, there is the possibility of regular future work involving T. rex and other prehistoric creatures. When applying, please include: Examples of your creature or animal animation work Your experience with Blender or compatible animation pipelines Your estimated price for this test animation Your estimated delivery time Experience with dinosaurs, realistic animals, quadrupeds or large creature animation is a strong advantage. Best regards, Fynn Koch ORVEX STUDIOS Creating Worlds Beyond Reality.
