Custom Character Design for Website

We need a designer to create custom characters / graphics for our website visuals. The characters should be simple, clean, and consistent with our brand style. The work includes designing the characters, refining the look, and delivering editable source files. Please share relevant examples of character design work and your process for creating polished, reusable website visuals. See attached for example - for style. The initial batch of characters graphics (banners, background etc) would be 25 characters. But this would just to launch the site - this relationship is meant to be longterm and ongoing, which may include creating an animated christmas card that uses the same characters.
