Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to transform complex, multi-source raw data into clean, structured datasets and intuitive, interactive visual dashboards. The ideal candidate will combine rigorous data wrangling capabilities with strong business intelligence (BI) design instincts to translate operational metrics into actionable insights. Core Responsibilities Data Cleaning & Preparation: Ingest, parse, audit, and clean structured and semi-structured data from disparate sources (CRMs, SQL databases, CSV/Excel files, and APIs). Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve missing values, duplicate records, structural anomalies, and inconsistencies to ensure complete data integrity. Data Modeling & Transformation: Build normalized schemas, create calculated columns and measures, and establish clean relational data models tailored for performance. Interactive Dashboard Development: Design and deploy dynamic, user-friendly dashboards that allow stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time. Pipeline Automation: Develop repeatable data transformation workflows and automated data refresh schedules to eliminate manual reporting friction. Documentation & Handoff: Provide clear documentation of data dictionaries, transformation logic, and dashboard user guides for cross-functional teams. Required Technical Skills & Qualifications Data Wrangling: Demonstrated proficiency with SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or advanced Power Query for ETL processes and complex data manipulation. BI & Visualization Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience building production-ready reports in Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or equivalent visualization tools. Spreadsheet Modeling: Advanced mastery of Excel/Google Sheets (complex lookups, dynamic arrays, nested logic, and pivot modeling). Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving ability to spot data drift, discrepancies, and outliers without explicit guidance. Communication: Ability to distill technical data architectures into straightforward visual narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Experience Prior experience connecting cloud databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift) directly to BI interfaces. Background in UI/UX best practices for analytical reporting (visual hierarchy, intuitive filtering, and accessibility). Experience implementing role-based access controls and row-level security (RLS) within dashboard environments. Engagement Details & Deliverables This is an immediate project-based/contract engagement with the potential for ongoing maintenance and future analytics phases. Initial deliverables will include an audited, clean data pipeline, a fully documented data schema, and a suite of interactive dashboards tailored to core business objectives.
