Data Entry Specialist – PDF to Markdown (.MD) Formatting for Obsidian

**Job Overview:** I am looking for a meticulous data entry freelancer to extract content from 5 PDF books (totaling approximately 600 pages across the books) and format them into clean Markdown files (.md) ready for use in Obsidian. Please note that these PDFs are not images; they contain fully searchable text, so you can easily copy and paste the data directly using your mouse. Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important for this project. **Responsibilities & Tasks:** * Extract text/data from 5 PDF books into Markdown (.md) files. * Perform copy-paste data entry while adding simple, correct Markdown tags based on the provided instructions (e.g., headings, bullet points, blockquotes, code/tag formatting). * Ensure 100% accuracy matching the original content structure. * Deliver organized, ready-to-use .md files for each book. **Deliverables:** * Final .md files for all 5 books containing accurate text and proper Markdown formatting. **Payment & Workflow:** * Detailed instructions and samples will be provided upon hire. * **Milestone / Approval:** Payment will be released after a final review and check of the delivered .md files to confirm formatting and content accuracy. **Requirements:** * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Familiarity with basic Markdown syntax and/or Obsidian. * Ability to follow specific formatting guidelines strictly.
