Descript Video Editor for Course Content

We are seeking a skilled video editor to work on a large-scale project involving approximately 70 videos. The role requires editing rough cuts using Descript, ensuring consistency and quality across all videos. The work involves applying our existing layout pack and Studio Sound, trimming filler words and retakes, and placing dynamic text according to a written specification provided for each video. Color grading, images, animation, and exporting are handled in a later pass. A complete spec is already written and will be shared before any commitment. Videos range from 3 to 15 minutes. The engagement begins with a paid test of 2 videos, billed hourly and capped at 5 hours, to establish working pace. Following the test, payment is a flat rate per video by length tier. This is a part-time, ongoing role of approximately 6 to 18 hours per week over 6 to 14 weeks. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with Descript, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
