Design a new company office space interior
Worldwide
Project Title Interior Design Concepts for Australian Production Company Head Office, Gold Coast About Pace Live Pace Live is an international touring production company based on the Gold Coast, with operations across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. Our portfolio spans Irish music and dance touring shows (including A Taste of Ireland, the third largest production of its kind globally), Off West End and Off Broadway theatrical productions, and an emerging screen and television division. We are moving into a new ground floor head office and want to create a space that reflects who we are as a company: theatrical, internationally minded, creatively driven, and commercially serious. The office needs to function as both a working environment for our team and a space that conveys the right impression when investors, partners, talent, and creative collaborators walk through the door. The Engagement We are looking for an experienced commercial interior designer to develop three to four distinct concept directions for our new office. We are not seeking architectural remodelling. The brief covers paint, flooring, lighting, furniture, joinery, partitioning, decor, and styling. The space is in good condition, with the option for some built joinery or freestanding space dividers if your design calls for it. The Space 136sqm ground floor commercial tenancy in Bundall, Queensland. Modern building, good natural light. We will supply photographs, video walk through, and a floor plan once available. Functional Requirements The layout needs to accommodate: Open plan main work area for 6 to 8 workstations Boardroom (seating 8 to 10) Entry and reception area Kitchenette Breakout and informal lounge space for staff and visitors Two C suite private offices (CEO and COO) Storage and filing Aesthetic Direction We want to see a range of different aesthetic directions explored. Modern is our headline word, but modern can mean many things. We're open to: Warm contemporary Australian, with timber, natural light, soft texture Theatrical and editorial, with darker tones, brass, velvet, drama Japanese inspired minimalism, with quiet materials, restraint, craft Boutique hospitality, where the office feels closer to a hotel lobby than a corporate floor Creative studio, raw materials, considered industrial, expressive Any other direction you believe suits the brand We want to see options that surprise us, not just safe interpretations of "modern office." The best designers will look at our brand, our work, and our positioning, and propose directions that genuinely reflect who we are. What We Want Back For each of the three to four concept directions: One paragraph written rationale explaining the design thinking Mood board with material, colour, texture, and furniture references Indicative floor plan showing how the functional requirements would be laid out within the concept Two to three sample visualisations or reference images of key spaces (boardroom, main work area, entry) Finishes schedule outline (paint colours, flooring, key furniture pieces with sourcing notes) High level budget estimate for the fit out at concept level only Background Material We Will Provide Photographs of the existing space Video walk through Floor plan Pace Live brand information and creative references Examples of aesthetic touchpoints we admire from our existing creative work Designer Profile We are looking for someone with proven experience in commercial interior design, ideally with both office and hospitality projects in their portfolio. We are open to working with designers based anywhere, though Australian designers familiar with the local market and supplier landscape are preferred. Theatrical, hospitality, or boutique retail experience would be a strong fit alongside commercial. Timeline: concept delivery within three to four weeks of brief and reference material being supplied.
