Summary

Job Type: Contract, ongoing (part-time to start, room to grow to full-time based on output) Location: Remote, any timezone with reasonable overlap for daily async check-ins. Open to retainer basis after trail period. We're Gard Pro, a health-tech wearables company (smartwatches, fitness trackers). We need a UI/UX Designer who can turn specs into finished, clean design so fast, high-quality output never becomes the bottleneck on how much we can scale. This covers our full storefront, not just paid funnel pages: help center layouts, order tracking pages, account pages, and any other on-site experience, alongside landers, prelanders, and PDPs. What you'll actually do - Design landers, prelanders, and Shopify storefront pages from funnel specs, built to convert, not just to look good - Design non-funnel storefront pages too: help center, order tracking, account pages, and other on-site experiences, held to the same usability and brand-system standard as the paid-traffic pages - Build Amazon-style PDP visual modules: infographic-style feature callouts, comparison and dimension treatments, mobile-first legibility - Work in Figma with components, variants, auto-layout, and design tokens, producing files developers can build from without back-and-forth - Design for mobile-first paid traffic (breakpoints, touch targets, image load weight) - Handle multi-market layouts that survive German compound words, French/Italian text expansion, Swedish characters, and per-market currency and legal blocks - Design within what Shopify themes and sections can actually render, so work ships instead of getting renegotiated at build - Flag design and usability problems in specs before build, not after, so briefs get corrected at the spec stage rather than reworked post-launch What success looks like 1. 80%+ first-pass approval on delivered designs from month 1, with design-error rework (wrong dimensions, broken responsive behavior, unusable handoff files) under 10% of monthly deliveries 2. 90%+ on-time delivery against agreed turnaround per design type, with no brief going dark past its window without a flagged blocker 3, Measurable spec-stage catches: usability or design issues you raise before build actually change what ships You're a strong fit if you - Understand conversion page structure: hierarchy, above-the-fold decisions, proof placement, offer clarity, objection handling, as visual problems, not just aesthetic ones - Have real fluency in Amazon-style infographic and comparison visual modules, not generic marketplace templates - Build and maintain reusable component libraries and brand systems rather than one-off pages (this is what makes 7 storefronts and multiple languages tractable at your speed) - Have shipped inside Shopify's actual rendering constraints, not just designed in a vacuum - Catch your own mistakes: wrong dimensions, broken responsive states, mismatched pricing, untranslated strings, missing spec elements, before handoff, not after a page is live - Move fast without letting quality collapse under launch pressure and short turnarounds - Say early when a deadline won't hold or a design was rushed, instead of shipping quietly and hoping - Push back on a spec that won't work rather than building it and letting it fail Nice to have - Experience designing for paid social funnels or DTC ecommerce specifically - Familiarity with quiz funnels, advertorials, listicles, and direct PDPs, and how their structure differs by funnel stage and market sophistication - Experience localizing layouts for European markets To apply Send: 1. Your portfolio, with at least 2-3 examples of conversion-focused lander, prelander, or ecommerce PDP work (not just brand or UI portfolio pieces) we are talking Amazon style pdp images. 2. Your available hours per week and timezone 3. Your rate We move fast and expect the same. If that's you we want to hear from you.
