UX/UI Designer Needed to Modernize SaaS Admin Console and Public Pages
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to update the interface of Branchcast, a SaaS platform used by churches and ministries to publish and organize sermons, teaching content, posts, and related resources. Our primary concern is improving the usability and visual hierarchy of the Branchcast admin console. We would also like recommendations and updated designs for the platform’s public-facing pages. Proposals making heavy use of generative AI will not be considered. Primary Project: Admin Console The current admin interface is functional, but the layout feels underutilized and does not provide administrators with a clear, efficient workflow. We would like the designer to evaluate and improve: • Overall navigation and information architecture • Use of available screen space • Dashboard layout and useful at-a-glance information • Organization-level versus account-level navigation • Visual hierarchy and consistency • Responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices • Forms, tables, lists, filters, and common administrative workflows • Empty states, notifications, breadcrumbs, and contextual actions • Accessibility and general ease of use The admin console is part of a Ruby on Rails application, so the final design should be realistic to implement using standard HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS-compatible components, and commonly available JavaScript interactions. We are not looking for an interface that depends on highly customized or animation-heavy frontend development. Secondary Project: Public Pages We are also interested in modernizing the public-facing pages where users browse sermons, posts, organizations, bookmarks, and other content. For these pages, we would like to improve: • Content presentation and readability • Navigation and content discovery • Sermon and post cards • Typography and spacing • Mobile responsiveness • Branding consistency • Calls to action • The distinction between public content, authenticated features, and account navigation Deliverables We expect the project to include: 1. A UX review of the current admin console and public pages 2. Recommendations for improving navigation, workflows, and page structure 3. Updated high-fidelity designs for the primary admin screens 4. Updated designs or design recommendations for key public-facing screens 5. Responsive desktop and mobile layouts 6. A reusable component and style system 7. Developer-ready files in Figma, including component states, spacing, typography, and implementation notes We would prefer to begin with the admin dashboard and navigation structure before expanding into individual screens. Ideal Experience The ideal designer will have experience with: • SaaS administration interfaces • Dashboard and application UX • Information architecture • Responsive web applications • Design systems and reusable components • Figma • Working within the constraints of an existing application • Collaborating directly with software developers Experience designing products for churches, nonprofits, media publishing, podcasting, or content-management platforms would be helpful but is not required. When Applying Please include: • Examples of SaaS dashboards or admin consoles you have designed • Examples of responsive application design • A brief explanation of how you approach improving an existing product rather than redesigning it without regard for current functionality • Your estimated process, timeline, and availability • Whether you provide developer handoff documentation and reusable Figma components We will provide access to additional screenshots, existing workflows, and application requirements to the selected designer. The goal is not simply to make Branchcast look different; it is to make the product easier to understand, faster to use, and more consistent while retaining the existing Branchcast brand.
