3D Designer to Rework Existing Parametrics for 3D Printed Cases for Silicone to Cast Concrete Frames
Worldwide
I am a stained glass artist that frames my work in concrete. I have hired some great contractors on Upwork who have helped me to create 3D printed cases that hold silicone which will allow me to easily and repeatanly cast concrete frames to house my stained glass designs. I am now looking for someone who can take these parametric files and change the dimensions so that the 3D printed case, and silicone sleeve can be modified to cast other frames with different dimensions. The existing parametrics have been optimized for easy removal of the components. They are also optimized for the casting of the silicone with the frame resting on the base, and also optimized for the concrete casting when it's flipped over. Disassembly has also been mastered using removable connectors and machine screws. A rod extends through the frame and through the walls so that the master frame is properly positioned. Clearances, thicknesses of the components, and space for silicone have also already been mastered. What I am looking for is someone who can take my parametrics and apply it to a new frame that I am looking to cast in concrete for a stained glass design that represents the municipal flag for the City of Chicago. I am looking for you to be reliable, communicative (I use Google Spaces/Chat to communicate and share files), has a strong command of your preferred 3D modeling software, and can deliver both STLs and the parametric files. My printer is the Bambu Labs A1. Attached is an image of the Chicago Flag glass and frame and some images of the existing case for another 3D printed casting mold. I'd like to work with someone who can take this concept and apply it to many frames in my repertoire. Thanks!
