Developer Needed: Build Lightweight Mobile Virtual Try-On For Jewellery E-Commerce

We are looking for an experienced Web / Camera Integration Developer to build Phase 1 of an interactive Virtual Try-On (VTO) widget for jewellery websites. The goal is to let online shoppers tap a "Try On" button on a mobile phone, open their camera, and see a 2D image of a ring positioned realistically on their hand in real-time. You will have full technical freedom to choose the best libraries and frameworks as long as the end product meets our performance and security requirements. What We Need Built (Key Deliverables): Real-Time Hand Tracking & Camera Overlay: Open the phone camera directly in mobile browsers (iOS Safari & Android Chrome) at smooth frame rates (30+ FPS). Automatically detect hand/finger placement to position, scale, and rotate a flat ring image accurately onto the user's finger. Include a light visual overlay guide (like a subtle hand outline) so users know where to position their hand. Dual Website Integration: Shopify Integration: A clean app block/extension that store owners can activate in their Shopify Theme Editor without writing code. Universal Web Snippet: A simple, lightweight script tag that non-Shopify sites (WooCommerce, custom sites) can paste onto their product pages. Usage Limits & Access Control: Build a secure backend check so the camera widget only opens if the merchant's domain is authorized and they haven't exceeded their monthly usage limit. If a limit is hit, display a polite "Temporarily Unavailable" message to shoppers rather than breaking or erroring out. What We Are Looking For: Proven experience building browser-based camera tools, image tracking, or interactive WebGL/Canvas projects. Strong background integrating apps with Shopify stores and custom websites. Ability to deliver clean, fast-loading code optimized for mobile web browsers.
