Summary

# Digital Marketing Coordinator – Social Media, SEO & Website Content We’re looking for a **hands-on Digital Marketing Coordinator** who understands what modern digital marketing should look and feel like — and can help us execute it consistently across multiple businesses and client accounts. This is not simply a role for someone who schedules posts, updates spreadsheets, and checks boxes. We need someone with **good marketing instincts, a strong visual eye, and enough experience to look at a social post, website page, or campaign and say: “This could be better — here's how.”** ## The Role Approximately **50% of this role will focus on social media content and execution**, with the remaining time divided between SEO, website content/maintenance, analytics, reporting, and general digital marketing support. ### Social Media – ~50% This will be a major part of the role. You'll help: * Plan and maintain social media content calendars * Create and publish content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and others * Turn ideas, articles, photos, videos and business updates into engaging social content * Work with Canva or similar tools to create polished, modern graphics * Repurpose content across different platforms and formats * Identify opportunities for stronger hooks, visuals, messaging and calls to action * Help our brands develop a more consistent and recognizable social presence **We're not looking for someone who simply puts lipstick on a pig.** If a post feels dated, generic, overly corporate or just plain boring, we want you to recognize that and help make it better. You should have a feel for what **current, professional social content** looks like and be willing to bring ideas to the table rather than simply waiting for instructions. Experience with **short-form video editing, Reels, Shorts, captions, transitions and repurposing video content** is a significant plus. ### SEO, Analytics & Reporting You don't need to be a deeply technical SEO specialist. You **do** need to understand the fundamentals of SEO and how businesses use search data to make better marketing decisions. Ideally, you're comfortable with: * Keyword research and keyword opportunities * On-page SEO fundamentals * Google Search Console * Google Analytics / GA4 * Monitoring rankings, traffic and search performance * Identifying pages or content that could be improved * Preparing understandable performance reports * Turning data into recommendations rather than simply reporting numbers We want someone who can look at the data and help answer: **What's working? What's not? And what should we do next?** ### Website Content & Maintenance Again, we're **not looking for a web developer**. We're looking for someone comfortable working inside websites and CMS platforms to keep content fresh, professional and visually appealing. That might include: * Updating website copy, images and calls to action * Creating or improving landing pages * Updating blog posts and other content * Improving page layouts * Spotting outdated or unattractive sections * Making basic SEO improvements * Coordinating more technical changes when a developer is required A good eye for **layout, imagery, typography and modern website design** is more important to us than advanced coding skills. ## What This Role Is NOT This is **not** a pure administrative marketing coordinator position. It's also not a role where you'll receive perfectly prepared graphics, copy and instructions and simply upload them. We're probably not a good fit if your primary experience is: * Scheduling pre-written social posts * Copying content into templates without improving it * Producing generic Canva graphics without considering the brand or audience * Running SEO reports without understanding what the numbers mean * Waiting for detailed instructions before taking action * Treating every business or social channel exactly the same We want someone who **notices things, has ideas, asks questions and makes the marketing better.** ## What We'd Love You to Bring Strong candidates will have experience with several of the following: * Social media management * Social content creation * Canva or similar design tools * SEO and keyword research * Google Analytics / GA4 * Google Search Console * WordPress or other CMS platforms * Website content management * Basic landing page design * Marketing reporting * AI-assisted content creation and marketing workflows * Video editing / short-form video **(big plus)** You don't need to be an expert in every area. We're much more interested in someone who has **solid digital marketing fundamentals, good creative judgment, curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.** ## The Person We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can become a dependable part of our marketing operation — not simply complete isolated tasks. You should be comfortable being given an objective such as: **“We need to improve this company's social presence.”** …and then helping figure out what that actually means. If you enjoy combining **creative marketing, social media, SEO, websites and analytics**, this could be a great fit. ### When Applying Please don't send us a generic application. Instead, include: 1. **2–3 examples of social media content you've personally created or substantially improved** 2. An example of a website, landing page or website content you've worked on 3. A brief explanation of your experience with **Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO/keyword research** 4. Any examples of video/Reels/Shorts you've edited, if applicable 5. The marketing or design tools you use most frequently And finally, tell us: **What's one social media trend or style you think businesses are overusing right now — and what would you do instead?** We're interested in your judgment as much as your résumé.
