Summary

Director of Business Development & Market Strategy (Polypropylene / Polyethylene Systems): Help Build the Next Great Engineered Thermoplastics Company Houston PolyTank is entering an exciting new chapter. Under new management, we are investing in our people, our manufacturing capabilities, and our long-term growth strategy. Today, we are a highly respected manufacturer of engineered polypropylene and polyethylene tanks and process equipment serving industrial, municipal, and commercial customers throughout North America. We have an experienced manufacturing team, a strong reputation for quality, and significant unused production capacity. What we do not yet have is a modern commercial organization—and that's where you come in. We're looking for an experienced industry professional who understands polypropylene and polyethylene fabrication, corrosion-resistant process equipment, and the markets that rely on these products. This is not a traditional sales position. It is an opportunity to help build the commercial foundation of a growing manufacturing company. What You'll Help Build Working directly with ownership and senior management, you will help develop and execute Houston PolyTank's commercial growth strategy, including: Developing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy. Identifying and prioritizing new end markets and applications. Building a database of target customers, OEMs, EPC firms, distributors, and manufacturers' representatives. Creating technical sales collateral, application guides, case studies, and engineering resources. Developing competitive positioning and market intelligence. Helping recruit and manage regional manufacturers' representatives. Supporting strategic customer development and business development efforts. Assisting with long-term corporate growth initiatives, new product opportunities, and strategic planning. We're Looking For Someone Who Has Significant experience with polypropylene, polyethylene, HDPE, thermoplastics, corrosion-resistant equipment, tanks, piping, or related engineered products. Deep knowledge of industrial process industries, chemical processing, water and wastewater, mining, semiconductor, food processing, or similar markets. Strong commercial instincts and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, plant managers, EPC firms, and executive leadership. A track record of building customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The desire to help build something rather than simply manage an existing sales territory. The Ideal Candidate The ideal person has likely spent years in the engineered thermoplastics, industrial plastics, corrosion equipment, or process equipment industries and understands both the technical and commercial sides of the business. They are equally comfortable discussing chemical compatibility with an engineer, developing a market strategy with ownership, and helping create the sales tools that will support the company's next phase of growth. Most importantly, they're entrepreneurial. They enjoy building organizations, solving problems, and creating long-term value. Why Join Houston PolyTank? This is a rare opportunity to join a profitable manufacturing company at the beginning of a major growth initiative. Our existing manufacturing capacity significantly exceeds our current revenue, creating an opportunity to scale the business through commercial execution rather than large capital investments. Ownership is committed to building a best-in-class organization with long-term investment in people, manufacturing, technology, and customer relationships. If you're excited about helping build a market-leading engineered products company—not just taking another sales job—we'd like to talk with you.
