Donor Prospect Researcher for Literacy

Summary

I'm looking for a prospect researcher to help me identify "quiet" major donor candidates, individuals (not celebrities or ultra-high-profile figures) who have a documented history of giving to libraries, literacy programs, literature/humanities causes, or similar education-access nonprofits, and who are realistically reachable by direct email. Your role will involve researching and confirming contact details for potential donors who support literacy and books. This part-time position requires strong skills in donor research and data entry, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. If you have experience in the non-profit sector and are passionate about literacy, would love to hear from you. Some Background & More Details: I run Another World Audiobooks, a free podcast producing professionally narrated classic literature (think Project Gutenberg or LibriVox, but audio-first, distributed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else podcasts live). We've built real reach, 236,000+ plays and downloads, listeners in 40+ countries, a 5.0-star average rating, and I'm building a fundraising program to make the project sustainable long-term through individual patron support. What I need: A spreadsheet of 150-200 individual prospects, each with: Full name Source where found (specific donor recognition page, 990 filing, foundation donor list, etc. - include the URL) Evidence of aligned giving (what they gave to, and ideally the approximate gift level if publicly listed) A verified, working email address, business/professional email preferred over personal when both exist. Please do not include phone numbers, home addresses, or any non-public personal information, this should be limited to information a business or professional would reasonably use for outreach. Any additional context useful for personalizing outreach (employer, professional title, other giving history) Where to look (starting points, not exhaustive): Public library and university library foundation donor recognition pages (individual donor walls, not corporate/foundation entries) ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer / IRS Form 990 filings for family foundations focused on literacy, libraries, or education Community foundation "donor spotlight" pages Candid/Foundation Directory profiles connected to individual named founders Important constraints: Please skip names that are too common/ambiguous to verify confidently (e.g., a name with no employer, title, or other identifying detail attached). I'd rather have 150 confidently-verified names than 300 unreliable guesses. Please avoid public figures/celebrities and anyone whose contact would only be reachable through an agent or publicist, I'm specifically after individuals I can reach directly. Only use publicly available contact information. No data broker services requiring me to agree to terms I haven't reviewed. Ideal experience: Background in nonprofit prospect research, development/fundraising research, or similar (freelance prospect researchers with previous nonprofit clients strongly preferred) Comfortable working from Form 990 filings and public donor recognition pages Strong verification habits, I'd rather you flag "uncertain" than guess Deliverable format: Spreadsheet (Google Sheet or Excel), one row per prospect, columns as outlined above. Timeline: As soon as possible! Please include in your application: relevant past experience with similar prospect research work, and if possible, a brief description of your general approach/sources for this type of project. And also, please start your reply with "Another World" so I know you read the posting! Thanks!
