10 Editable SVG Wedding Invitation Templates for a Canvas-Based Design Tool

Summary

I have a UK wedding planning platform with a built-in invitation design tool. It is canvas-based, similar in spirit to Canva but purpose-built for weddings. Right now couples start from a blank canvas. We need 10 starting-point templates they can drop in and customise: change colours, resize, edit wording. This is not a "design 10 pretty invitations" job. The templates need to survive being taken apart and rebuilt by someone with zero design skill, inside our editor. That constraint drives everything below. Please read the technical requirements before quoting. Files that look right but are flattened, gradient-filled, or outlined text will not meet the brief. Style direction: Ten templates across four directions, not ten variations on one look. Botanical (3) — line-drawn or flat-vector florals. No literal watercolour, no clip-art bouquets. Editorial botanical illustration, not craft-fair. Typographic / minimal (3) — type does the work. A monogram or crest option, a letterpress-inspired layout, a clean editorial layout with generous whitespace. Textured border (2) — pattern or linework borders that read as texture (linen, ribbon, hand-inked edge), built entirely from vector paths, not embedded photographic texture. Classic / formal (2) — engraved-style border, formal botanical wreath. Traditional, not stuffy. Tone reference: restrained and editorial, a little quiet. If you're picturing what a Fiverr buyer would typically call an "elegant floral template pack," go one level more restrained than that. Avoid: gradients, drop shadows, glitter or foil textures, photographic elements, any embedded raster, cursive script as the default look (fine as a secondary option on one or two templates, not the default across the set). Technical requirements Each file needs to open in Illustrator or Figma with individual elements still separable and editable, not one flattened compound path. Format: SVG. One file per template, 10 files total. Structure: clearly named, separate groups for each element: background, border or motif, heading-text, subheading-text, body-text, and any decorative elements as their own named groups. Nothing merged into a single path. Fills: flat, single-colour fills only. No gradients, no blend modes, no opacity effects that break when a fill colour is swapped. Every recolourable element needs a plain hex fill we can change programmatically. Text: live, editable text elements, not outlined to paths. Default to Google Fonts or other web-safe fonts so we're not chasing licenses. Cormorant Garamond (our brand display font) is a strong option for headings on at least a few templates. Variety across the set is fine, list which fonts you're using in your proposal. No embedded raster images. Any texture or pattern must be built from vector paths. Canvas size: 5:7. All 10 templates must share the same artboard dimensions and aspect ratio. Test for yourself before delivering: can a colour be changed by editing 3–5 fill values, and can the layout resize without breaking? If not, it doesn't meet the brief. Deliverables 10 × SVG files, named and organised per the spec above 1 × PNG preview sheet showing all 10 at a glance Full commercial usage rights, exclusive to my company (to be discussed upon job acceptance). You may keep the work in your portfolio but may not resell the exact files elsewhere. Budget & timeline Budget: To discuss Timeline: 7 days from kickoff, with some example outputs after 3 days Revisions: 2 rounds included What to include in your proposal: 2–3 examples of past vector/SVG template work. Layered, editable files, not just static invitation mockups. A short confirmation that you can deliver files structured per the technical spec above, not just "SVG export from Illustrator."
