I lead the affordable housing and multifamily practice at a commercial insurance brokerage. We publish research briefs, white papers, and articles on insurance and risk topics for the affordable housing industry (LIHTC, HUD, multifamily). I’m hiring an experienced editor to make already-written drafts publication-ready. This is editing, likely not much new research or writing needed. Drafts arrive after some decent research. Your job will be primarily to tighten the argument, sharpen the prose, keep the voice consistent piece to piece, and flag anything that would read wrong to an industry audience, which is where some amount of research or existing background knowledge in this space will be required. SCOPE • 1 to 2 pieces per month, 1,500 to 3,000 words each • Estimated 3 to 6 hours per piece • Ongoing relationship preferred; paid trial edit first IDEAL BACKGROUND • Substantive editing of B2B or trade content (not consumer SEO articles) • Familiarity with commercial insurance, commercial real estate, finance, or affordable housing strongly preferred TO APPLY 1.
