Editorial Producer – Alambika Magazine & Media
Worldwide
Editorial Producer – Alambika Magazine & Media (Part-Time · Remote) Help us build Canada’s leading publication dedicated to cocktail culture and hospitality. Since 2012, Alambika has supplied Canada’s leading bars, restaurants, hotels and cocktail enthusiasts with premium barware, glassware, ingredients, Japanese knives and specialty products. But we’re much more than an e-commerce company. We operate Bar Crocodile in Montréal. We design our own products under the ALKA brand. We travel internationally to meet artisans and producers. We open retail stores. We work with some of Canada’s best hospitality professionals. Every week, incredible stories happen inside our company. We believe those stories deserve to be documented. We’re looking for an Editorial Producer to help us transform real-world experiences into articles, videos and social media content that educate, inspire and position Alambika as Canada’s reference for cocktail and hospitality knowledge. This is not a traditional social media job. ⸻ Your mission Capture knowledge. Organize ideas. Publish stories. Help build Alambika Magazine into one of the industry’s most respected editorial platforms. ⸻ What you’ll do * Interview the founder, team members and suppliers to capture stories and expertise. * Transform voice notes, meetings, photos and videos into polished content. * Produce long-form articles for our Shopify publication (Bloggle). * Adapt every article into content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. * Work extensively with AI (ChatGPT, Claude and similar tools) to accelerate drafting, editing, research and repurposing. * Organize an editorial calendar. * Suggest new topics based on customer questions and industry trends. * Improve product pages with educational content and internal links. * Coordinate content submitted by our warehouse, boutiques, office and Bar Crocodile team. * Ensure everything reflects Alambika’s voice, values and attention to detail. ⸻ We’re looking for someone who… * Loves learning. * Is naturally curious. * Enjoys interviewing people. * Thinks like a journalist. * Is comfortable working independently. * Enjoys turning complex ideas into engaging stories. * Loves organizing information. * Sees AI as a creative partner rather than a shortcut. Hospitality experience is a bonus—but curiosity and editorial instinct matter even more. ⸻ Required skills * Excellent English writing and editing skills. * Strong organizational abilities. * Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude. * Comfortable publishing content in Shopify or similar CMS platforms. * Basic understanding of SEO and content structure. * Comfortable editing simple photos and videos (CapCut, Canva or similar). * Excellent communication. French is an asset but not mandatory. ⸻ Nice to have * Shopify / Bloggle experience. * Vista Social or other scheduling tools. * Photography or videography. * Hospitality, food or beverage industry experience. * Newsletter or editorial publishing experience. ⸻ Working style * Fully remote. * Approximately 15–20 hours per week. * Flexible schedule. * Weekly editorial meeting with the founder. * Long-term collaboration. ⸻ This role is for you if… You’d rather spend your day telling the story behind a Japanese knife maker than chasing viral TikTok trends. You get excited by visiting artisans, interviewing bartenders, documenting product development and helping build something meaningful from the ground up. You believe that great content comes from real experiences—not manufactured marketing. ⸻ To apply Please send: * A short introduction about yourself. * Two or three examples of articles or long-form content you’ve created. * A brief explanation of how you currently use AI in your work. * Your hourly rate. * Your weekly availability. Selected candidates will be invited to complete a paid editorial exercise based on real Alambika material (voice notes, photos and videos). We’re not looking for someone to “manage social media.” We’re looking for someone to help document and share one of the most fascinating hospitality businesses in Canada.
