Electrical Construction Estimator Needed

Senior Electrical Estimator & Estimating Systems Consultant Utility, Federal, Commercial & Infrastructure Electrical Projects About Us We are a Texas-based electrical and infrastructure contractor serving utility, federal, commercial, and infrastructure customers. We are growing rapidly and looking to professionalize our estimating process. We currently estimate projects using internal processes and spreadsheets and are seeking an experienced electrical estimator to help us improve our estimating systems, procedures, templates, and scalability. This is initially a consulting/fractional role with the potential for a longer-term relationship. What We Need Help With Estimating Process Review Review our current estimating process and make recommendations for improvement. Help us build: Standard estimating workflows Bid review procedures Labor productivity assumptions Material pricing methodologies Proposal templates Bid tracking systems Estimating Software Evaluation We currently do not use dedicated estimating software. We need someone who can evaluate platforms such as: Accubid ConEst McCormick PlanSwift Bluebeam Other electrical estimating solutions and recommend what would be appropriate for a growing electrical contractor. We are looking for practical recommendations based on real-world experience, not software sales pitches. Electrical Estimating Support Assist with: Quantity takeoffs Material counts Conduit and wire takeoffs Equipment schedules Labor hour calculations Bid package preparation Estimate review Project Types Experience in some or all of the following is preferred: ✅ Utility projects ✅ Federal projects ✅ Commercial electrical ✅ Industrial electrical ✅ Infrastructure projects ✅ Underground electrical work ✅ Service installations ✅ Utility distribution Required Experience Applicants must have direct experience as an electrical estimator.
