Electrical Revit/BIM Detailer – Prefabrication & Conduit Assemblies

We are a California electrical and general engineering contractor specializing in EV charging infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced **Revit/BIM or CAD Detailer** to help us produce accurate layout drawings for prefabricated electrical equipment frames. We fabricate Unistrut frames in our own shop and our electrical crews install the conduit and equipment in the field. ### Immediate Need Our primary requirement is to produce **accurate, dimensioned frame drawings** from project plans and equipment drawings so our shop can fabricate the frames correctly. We will provide the project drawings, equipment drawings, dimensions, equipment pad information, conduit requirements, and markups/design intent. Typical drawings will show: * 3D/isometric frame view * Plan and elevation views as required * Overall frame dimensions * Equipment pad reference points * Equipment locations/reference points * Unistrut locations and spacing * Critical offsets and elevations * Individual frame member dimensions where useful * Conduit/stub-up locations and spacing * Other dimensions required for our shop and field crews to accurately build and locate the assembly **Our crews will fabricate and install the assemblies. We are not currently looking for someone to engineer the electrical system or determine the electrical design.** ### Conduit Modeling It would be useful for the drawings to show conduit routing and stub-ups in 3D where practical, particularly so we can visually verify clearances and the relationship between the frame, equipment and conduits. However, detailed conduit bend schedules and full fabrication-level conduit modeling are not required for every drawing at this stage. ### Initial Paid Test The first assignment will be to recreate and improve an existing EV charging Power Unit prefab frame drawing that we currently use. We will provide: * Our existing frame drawing * Project/equipment drawings * Required dimensions and design intent * Reference examples showing the type of professional prefab drawings we would eventually like to develop The first goal is straightforward: **produce an accurate, clean and easy-to-read frame drawing that our shop crew can build from.** ### Future Opportunity If the initial work goes well, we would like to develop a standardized drawing system for future EV charging projects. Over time, this could expand to include: * Reusable Revit families/templates * Standard Unistrut/frame assemblies * Detailed conduit routing * Conduit bend information * Frame cut lists * Material schedules/BOMs * Complete fabrication packages This could eventually allow us to issue much more detailed fabrication packages or outsource portions of the prefab assembly. ### Ideal Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: * Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD * Electrical BIM/VDC * Electrical contractor detailing * Unistrut/support framing * Conduit routing * Electrical equipment layouts * Shop/fabrication drawings * MEP construction Experience working for an electrical contractor or MEP contractor is strongly preferred. ### When Applying Please provide: 1.
