Electron Desktop App – Remote Worker Activity/Presence Checker (Randomized Pop-up Check-ins)

We need a lightweight, cross-platform desktop application (Windows/macOS) that ensures remote operators are active at their laptops during their shift. Core requirements: Runs on system startup (tray/login items) "Start Shift" modal with operator ID field, logs start time to backend Randomized check-in pop-ups (configurable ~3–7 min intervals) that stay on top / can't be ignored, with a simple confirmation button or quick task (e.g., basic math) 90-second response window; auto-logs a "Missed Check-in" if no response "End Shift" via tray icon right-click All events (startup, shift start, check-in success/miss, shift end) POST to a webhook (e.g., Make.com → Airtable/Excel) Local fallback logging when offline is a plus Packaged as standalone .exe (Windows) and .app (macOS) Minimal UI — just tray icon + modal, no dashboard Note: We're open to alternative technical approaches to achieve the same outcome (not strictly limited to Electron) — if you have a lighter-weight or more reliable stack in mind, feel free to propose it in your application.
